Project Overview

In Täby, Sweden, efficient logistics requires reliable equipment. We partnered with a major logistics park (Frigoscandia network) to deploy a 32-inch Outdoor Wall-Mount Touch Screen. This unit serves as a self-service terminal for truck drivers, operating flawlessly in harsh Nordic winter conditions.

The Challenge: Extreme Cold & Efficiency

The client faced two main issues at their “Port 3” loading bay:

  • Slow Processing: Manual driver registration caused queues and delays at the gate.
  • Harsh Environment: The equipment had to survive sub-zero temperatures, snow, and moisture. Standard screens would freeze or malfunction in this climate.

Our Solution: Rugged & Weatherproof

We delivered a customized Industrial Outdoor Display designed to withstand the elements:

  • IP65 Waterproof Rating: Fully sealed against snow and rain.
  • Smart Heating System: Integrated internal heaters activate automatically in cold weather to prevent screen freezing and ensure startup in low temperatures.
  • High Brightness (2500 nits): The screen remains readable even under strong sunlight or snow reflection.
  • Gloved Touch Capability: The PCAP touch screen is calibrated to work accurately, allowing drivers to input data easily.

The Result

The installation successfully automated the gate entry process. Drivers can now self-register 24/7 without waiting for staff.

The screen has proven its durability, maintaining stable performance throughout the Swedish winter.
